MEERCAT 50 oil change
#1
has anybody tried to get a wrench underneath to change the oil on a meercat 50?i cant seem to get my wrench on the plug. Is it impossible or is it me?Im thinking of just turning this thing upsidedown and draining it out the fill.

i don't think i would turn it upside down, first you could remove the exhaust pipe, that would give you access, when i changed the oil in our meerkats i didn't have any problems, i made a drain pan from a milk carton just low enought to slide under the engine, then use a 17mm box wrench and loosen the drain plug, i didn't think their was problem changing oil.

Sir,
I've been tipping mine over for years and it gets it done faster I sure that is not by the book, but I have never had problems doing it. I have done it with my ATC 70 and my VX-80. However, if you can reach it as mentioned above go for it...if not, tip it over on the spout side and let it roll! SEADAWG
