I want to sell my lakota and get either a 300ex, or a Z/KFX400. I like to ride fast alot, and do some jumps, and do trails every once in a while. I am 14, weigh about 130... so I still can grow. Any good 350's out there? Anyone have one for sale that has an exhaust on it? Purice range is about 3,000 grand. Thanks guys,
Zach

You have 2 choices, 1. you cood get a 300ex with pipe, filter jet kit, and other aftermarket stuff.... or 2. You cood buy a 2003 or 2004 z400 with no mods ( prolly out of price range. If u get a 300ex u will prolly save money for more aftermarket parts. I have a 300ex myself, with no motor mods and it suits me pretty good. I am looking for more power tho. Its pretty much up 2 u.

Umm sorry, you're 14, so you can only ride a machine under 90cc per CPSC regulations. Have fun on your KFX80.

KIDDING of course. I would suggest a Z or a 400EX. Don't get a 300ex or a 350, you'll probably be bored with it too fast. And since you already know how to ride ou'll probably do just fine on a 400.
If you had more to spend I'd even suggest a 450.

Thing about the 450's are that they don't have reverse. Supposedly the new KFX450 will, but who knows.

For $2700 you should be able to get a pretty decent 400EX. That might be a bit too little for a Z unless you find a deal. But even the 400EX will be good. Plus they are tanks and will run forever and a day as long as you change the oil every once in a while.
I just switched to a 450 and not having reverse isn't so bad. Most of them are light enough that you can just pick up the rear end to jockey it around. Also keep this in mind because the pre-05 400EXs didn't have reverse either. For your price range you would probably be looking at a pre-05.
