Default Has anyone rode the 700 GRIZZ???

Not yet, I put money down on one back on the 20th of June before I even knew what was coming out (just to be safe). I called my dealer this morning and he said he had the order in for them, but haden't checked the computer to see when the shipment was scheduled to arrive. He is supposed to call me back when he finds out, sometime today hopefully. I'll let you know as soon as I know.

I was going to get one, But decided on a new 06 instead. A well proven machine? Plenty of machine for me. Good luck with the 700 I would like to hear updates on what I missed out on.

I have driving one twice at the dealer. Parking lot driving only. The power steering is nice at low speed and probably good in the mud also. It is shorter and a wider then a 2006 Griz so riding with two people might be hard. The shifter has also been recalled because the gears do not line up the postions on the fender or the dash. I was thinking of one but I got the 2006.

Once again this is why you don't buy a first year product. We all have been threw this. Go for the 06 for now.

sad to say, i've known this for weeks i just didn't let the cat outta the bag, this is why nobody has one yet etc. there is a recall/ technical investigation as yamaha calls it, in canada lots of us dealers have them, but we are not allowed to do test drives or sell any of them, sucks. the problem is with the shifter, lots of guys i've seen that have hondas say the thing they don't like about them is the shifter sometimes pops out, this is what's happenin with the new grizzle, cuz it has the same style shifter as some of the hondas if i'm not mistaken, funny thing is that when we went on our demo drive at a wildlife park, nothing like that ever happened at our dealer meeting??? keep you posted when i know more.

Yami450D, any word from you dealers up North about a release date yet? The dealers down here don't seem to know anything, or at least they won't let us in on thier little secret. Thanks in advance for any info you may have.
