Drum brake removal
#1
i have a 1995 trx 300 ,i replaced the rear brake, pads, and the bearing in the brake panel, the brake drum required a puller to remove, now the drum is a very tight fit on the brakes, and wants to pull the brake shoes with it when i try to remove it.Has any one run into this problem.

When I changed the shoes on my daughter's Badger, I had a similar problem. A groove had worn in the center of the drum leaving a lip on each edge. I had to tap the drums back on until the shoes fell into the old groove, then they spun fine. If I tried to pull the drum off again, the lip would catch the extra heighth of the new shoes and try to pull the shoe with it. You may need to have the drums turned to cut down the lips created from wear in the center of the drums.
