i have a 04 raptor 660 and weigh about 250lbs with me on the raptor i just can beat a 400ex.
i want something new or a secret to making this raptor faster i have heard many different add ons but no one can tell me if they works or not
i need a bang for my buck kind of thing

 

I know you can't beat this for the price, because it's free. The stock raptor pipe as you probably know is very restrictive. If you take the silver cover off of the tip, you'll see a bolt below the pipe that holds the spark arrestor in. If you take this out, (I had to use visegrips, a blade screwdriver, and a hammer) you'll see that it is stupid restrictive. With a little drilling, you can greatly improve it without getting rid of the spark arresting quality, or you can leave the whole piece out (I used a supertrap from a car exhause system to replace it), and just put the cover back over it. You can also try a smaller front gear (I used -1 tooth) It makes a huge difference in the torque, and makes it better for trails. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

Trade it when Polaris releases the 07 Outlaw/Predator 525 and enjoy the bowls of rice ! hehe

Actually, they dropped that beast of a KTM motor into it, it will fly. As for the Rappy, remove the baffle if you haven't already and budget for an exhaust system and intake for it. That will get you the most bang for the buck.

 

Im not flingin a shovel ! Scooter is right that beast of a 510cc KTM motor is put in a same weight as the 700 Raptor ...IRS Outlaw and soon after that lighter Predator. Its already been tested and proven the fastest quad of all time. And @ $7299 will see alot of used Raptors,YFZs,etc . The rice comment was good ole SAM has now the fastest ATV instead of the Jap Quads.

 

Fastest in a STRAIGHT LINE. Not so sure about in any real kind of racing. See how that IRS handles when you're on a motocross track and you eat it on every landing because of the IRS.

I love it when you cry. Makes ya kinda purdy. But seriously the Horsepower and Torque is there. For it to knock the Quadzilla off the thrown is a huge. They have only tested it so far in acceling. Wait til they really push it.

 

This is a new quad thats not even out yet...I would not trust buying one untill they have proved there selfs...
