Few questions about a drive chain.
#1
First off, I'm new to the quad world and just purchased my first quad at the beginning of the summer. I had maintence done to my 2002 Warrior shortly after I bought it -- nothing major: new sprokets, new drive chain, brakes, clutch adjustment, etc... Pretty much everything that needed to be done to have a solidly running quad. The guy told me that my new chain would stretch out after a couple runs on it, which it has.
Since I'm new in the quad world, I'm also new to the maintence side of it as well. When trying to do wheelies in 1st gear, or doing steep hill climbs (usually in first gear), If I go a little to hard on it, I hear this cracking noise, and I'm pretty sure it's the drive chain. So... I'm pretty sure that I need to get rid of the slack in my chain. How do I know when I need to tighten it up? If I do need to tighten it up, how much do I tighten it up? Also, if I do need to tighten it up, how do I go about doing so?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The owners manual explains how to tighten the chain up. It has a step by step guide and pictures.
This is where you can view the manual online:
http://www.yamaha-motor.com/sport/se...t_manuals.aspx
Section: Periodic Maintenance and adjustment. Chain section starts on page 134 of 171 (8-27 in the manual itself)
