Ok I cleaned my air filter and oiled it and now I tried running it. W/out reving it, it was already
idling at a high rpm. Did I put too much oil on it? Thanks for any help.

 

If all you did was clean and oil the filter than yes you most likely have to much oil and its richened the carb a bit. Sort of like having the choke on. I squeeze out most of the oil when I oil filters.If you can squeeze the filter and get oil to come out, youve got to much oil in it . It only takes enough oil to change the filters color, or darken it if the oil is relatively clear, for the oil to work.

 

Thanks mwq. If I ride like this will it hurt the engine? Ill try to squeeze some oil out later.
