Default Raptor 700 mod - Pipe / Filter / Box ? What has worked well for you?

List your combo here and let us know your results. . . also, if you could do it again, what would you do?

Pipe?
Air Filter / Intake set-up?
Programmer?

Other Mods:
Big Bore?
Cams?
Stroker?

What's the fastest and most reliable 700 got in it?

Exhaust= Yoshi RS7 full exhaust

I am happy with the quality, sound and performance of the pipe. Most singles are close in power so only real recommendation is go with a full system not a slip-on.

Filter/intake = Pro-desisgn UNI/with a Pro tec Moflow Lid

Pro-design, GYTR and Trinity have the better intake design. Some others with a billet plate are smaller and not flanged.
I ride in dusty and wet and muddy conditions so I went with the UNI and a after market lid for better protection in any condition.

Programmer=PC lll

As of right now the PC lll has the most adjustability of any programmer. The accel pump feature and the fact that it adjusts for throttle position and the better adjustability makes it worth the extra money to me.

Other = nothing atm

I dont have but serveral have been happy with the Trinity 734 kit

I dont think I would change any of my purchases as of yet.

My mods are listed. I just dropped the quad off at the dyno shop to have a custom fuel map made, so I cant really comment on it.

I can tell you that I was running the Trinity exhaust, PD intake with no lid and Power Commander. It pulled pretty good. I still say that 4th gear is too far away from 3rd gear in the dunes. I think the 700 was detuned from the factory by a large margin. Doing the mods(any brand) I mentioned will defffinitely wake it up.

I believe a hi comp piston with a stage 2 or 3 cam and porting would make some decent power.

I just ordered Yoshi RS-7 full exhaust, Pro-Design intake w/ K&N filter. I need to order a programmer still. Does it make any more power pulling the spark arrestor out of an aftermarket pipe? Saw on the PC III site that it said without spark arrestor for RS-7.

It makes a difference but not as much as on a stock pipe.

I agree with you, the gap between 3rd and 4th gear is too great to pull sand dunes. I down-sized the stock 14 tooth counter sprocket to 13 and oh what a difference. Now I can pull hills in forth that i used to wind out in third gear. Fifth gear still has plenty of speed.

In addition to my my +2 inch Leagers with long travel Works shocks, I have a K&N and DR. D pipe. I should have a fuel management system in place by October for Glamis, can't wait to get to Boardmanville. The temps down to 116 degrees today, 5 weeks and counting.

What size tires are you running to drop a tooth on the counter-sprocket?

If you're running 22's and I'll be running 20's, maybe I should stick with the stock sprocket?

On my cousins 700R (stock)..........

Exhaust = Sparks X-6 (Standard Core)

Programmer = Dynatek/Sparks modified FI module

Filter = Sparks Air Supercharger

Would DEFINATELY do it again! This thing has crazy bottom and mid-range. Insane torque. Although the bike has yet to be run on a big hill like Olds or Dumont, it does feel like it would be able to pull them hard in 4th.The Sparks pipe just sounds awesome! Yes it's loud, but not obnoxious. Now if someone would figure out new cams and timing to make it keep making power past 7k RPM's. Text
