SP HO vs Cat 500?

I will find out first hand one of these days about the HITCH TO HITCH thing, but as of now I'm not sure.
I know the Polaris is a better mudder, but you can add more things to an Arctic Cat to make it mud better and it will have alot less breakage than a Sp 500 riden just as rought.

I would have to say the HO. I don't know how it wouldnt really. More weight, more power, better traction. The only factor that I can see would be the hitch on the AC axle (non-suspended), and the hithc on the Polaris (which is on the frame and lowers with the suspension). I don't even know what that would do, but its the only difference that I can see that might have a chance to favor the AC.
The Sportsmans seem to dominate the pulls anyway. I can't see how this would be any different. There was once an article or something on here that said AC did well at the pulls, but the only even they actually won in was the 250 2wd class.

A few months ago at a sportsman's jamboree, the local Polaris and Arctic Cat dealer hooked a 500 to each other and all they did was dig eight holes in the ground. However, after they were unhooked from each other, the AC climbed out of the holes that it dug. The Polaris had to be pulled out by the AC... Just saying it like I saw it...

I have not found this back to back to prove anything! My results from trying this are; Yam 350 4X4 vs Suz 300 4X4, 4 holes in road ; Yam 350 vs Suz 250 4X4, 4 holes in road ; Suz300 vs Suz250, even 4 holes in road ; Suz 300 vs Cat 500, 4 holes in road. I can't explain it, you would think the heavier machine would win, but these are the results.

There is a trick to pulling. ask any tractor puller an they will say you must spin your tires. By that I meen You want your tires to skim across the top of the soil kind of like hydro planing across water. This would be an advantage to the cat unless there is a clutch kist in the H.O.. But if your on the cat you can pop the shifter in to gear wich will cause you to spin. if your pulling I think you need to be in like 2 or third gear in low range. you should be fine. So my money is on the cat if the driver knows what he is doing.
