Default Warrior woulnt start

I have a late 90's warrior and it turns over fine but woulnt start. If i coast start it, it will fire right up. Sumtimes if i try it right after i shut it off it will start up but if i leave it sit for a while it will just crank over fun like it should but woulnt start and doesnt have spark. Pleast help it wouldnt turn over unless its in 5th gear and it sucks if i stall out in the woods. please help

Sounds like you need a new plug, we need more details... have you cleaned the plug? done a compression check? Cleaned the carb and air filter?

Welcome to the forums...

Might be. Have you messed with your jetting at all? sounds like it COULD be you air/fuel idle screw. try turning it all the way in then 1/2 turn at a time out (dont go past 3 turns out). Also check your timming chain (shouldnt be much slack in it if at all). Theres a good chance it might be your valves though, if thats the case get a vlave gap tool and rip that thing apart. Ive never adjusted the valves on a warrior before but give it a shot.

i was having the same kinda issue with my 01 warrior, it had no spark and i could push start it and after running a while would start up, then leave it over night then nothing. I replaced my stator and now its all good. In Most cases i hear its just the trigger coil. but i just replaced it all considering i was in there.

I had a bad connection in the harness at the CDI box. I replaced the CDI, Stator, plug, carb, and rebuilt the motor before i realized it was the harness. the motor was tired anyway.

ya my brothers 99 warrior last year would die out while riding and the only way to get it started was to bump start it. turns out that was the stator which i never expected. good luck
