how can i snorkel my AC 500 manual....

I know on my 1999 Model there are 2 carb vent lines to snorkel besides the main intake, but since you are getting a 2001 model, which uses a different carb, it MAY have more or less vents on it.
So unless the fan has a vent(I highly dought that on an Arctic Cat) all you will have to do is the Main Air Intake, Carb vents, and Engine Exhast.

If I do end up buying the AC 500 manual I would like to snorkel it also.
Last weekend I was doing some carb work on my Polaris and noticed that the manual specifies the exact location where the carb and transmission vent tubes should be clipped in near the air intake. They say that the vacuum at the end of the vent tubes must be just right to maintain the right atmosperic pressure in the carb and tranny or things will not work right. Has anyone seen any such thing on the Cats? Has anyone snorkeled their vent lines and did it have any adverse affects?

Yes, I have snorkeled my Vent lines. It doesn't affect how it runs, but starting is alot harder. I have to use full choke in semi cold weather, so very cold weather is probly gonna be a problem. YOu could just drill a hole in the air box and run them there. Just use plety of silicone.
