Been a while...
Been a while and hoping to get back on here again more frequently. The 1k Scrambler has seen plenty of saddle time and upgrades! Been running 30's and probably going to 32's next time I need tires. Big Gun exhaust and snorkels added and just ordered a radiator relocate kit since Polaris puts cheap a$$ plastic fans on now. Never had one break prior to this machine and they've always lived in mud/swamps. Was out last weekend and it crapped out after riding in a deep beaver pond. Turns out a number of owners are having the same issue when going deep. If the fan kicks on while submerged it snaps like a twig. Not fun at $200 a pop and can only get them from Popo...
Busted both front axles on our July 4th mudfest so replaced them with rhinos from SATV (actually bent the ends even-lol).
The wife's 570 just crapped a front axle last weekend as well-man those things are cheap compared to the 2010 and older axles. Replacing that with one from sixity off ebay so we'll see how that goes.
Glad to be back!

Welcome back. Check with Spal if they're still the ones supplying fans for Polaris. May find one cheaper and with stronger blades. Looking at the parts breakdown, the fan is in a different shaped mount, but still looks like a 12" fan. Dirt Cheap Yamaha, Polaris, Suzuki & Kawasaki OEM Parts & Accessories – Cycle Parts Warehouse

My dealer wanted $320 Canadain for a new fan ,I got a new Spal one off ebay for $65. Its just nuts there mark up on fans. This was not a aftermarket fan it was the exact same fan (model number) since Spal was the fan supplier.
Here is Spal's the web site. https://webstore.spalusa.com/en-us/p...rcycleatv.aspx

Dealer prices are unreal on most things. Polaris seems to be the worst. I needed a starter for a Scrambler 400 a few years ago. If I got an oem one, it was about $300. I ended buying one off Amazon for $60 with free shipping. It looked exactly like the oem and worked perfectly.

Here I go again defending dealer prices.. If most people saw what Polaris and other manufacturers charged independent dealers to carry oem parts you'd see why prices are so high! IMO at least double what they should be or more. We even carried after market parts for that same reason, for people that couldn't believe what oem parts cost and wouldn't pay it whom I don't blame. An even cheaper place on starters is DB Electric.DB Electrical - NEW POLARIS ATV STARTER 250 300 350 400 HEAVY DUTY PA101 18331

The options were there, but the catch was you either had to have a tax # for places like Parts Unlimited,Tucker Rocky,Kuraykyn, etc to get these parts or a dealer# to get so called"discount" parts from the manufacturers including Polaris,Yamaha,Honda, etc. A lot of dealers including my shop were able to save people some good $ on some hard parts costs through these places.Dealers did what they could to survive in the 90's and early 2000s even later after the 2008 crash. For example back then we could sell an aftermarket starter from Parts Unlimited for 100 bucks compared to 250 or more for the oem and still make a little profit. Better than not selling one at all.Now with everything wide open, aftermarket companies popping up everywhere people have even better choices than they did back then.

Thanks for the replies everyone! Checked SPAL and they don't carry anything for the 1000 that I could find. Brand on mine is TRIPAC. Did some web searching and came up empty... Checked the site OPT gave and they're the same price. Just glad I figured out the problem now and did the Big Boar radiator relocate up on the front rack. Turned out pretty sweet! I get the dealer prices on some stuff and that's why the internet is a beautiful thing.
