Which aftermarket wheels fit the Grizzly 700?
#1
Not all aftermarket wheels fit the new Grizzly because of the rear wheel disk brake calipers. I have a set of Maxxis Max-Lite wheels that I used on a 2005 Grizzly 660 and a 2006 Rhino, but they do not fit the new Grizzly 700 because they rub on the brake calipers. I have been hanging on to the Max-Lite wheels because they still look good, and they are super light (about 1/3 less than a ITP C-Series), but it looks like I am going to have to get some new wheels afterall.
I know several people on here have posted that they bought their Grizzly 700 with aftermarket wheels on it, so could you please post what kind of wheels you have. I would prefer not to go with a 14" wheel, because they get chewed up too badly when rock crawling. The wheels I have my eye on right now are the C-series type 7 sport lock wheels in a black powder coated finish with the polished bead lock ring (I know its a simulated bead lock). Any idea if a 12" C-series type 7 wheel with fit a Grizzly 700?
Thanks in advance.

Interesting what I found out today. ITP won't gaurantee yet that their 12" wheels fit the '07 Grizzly, and Motorsport Alloy wheels have the same offset as the Maxxis wheels I have now that don't fit. I'm sure there are people on here that have 12" aftermarket wheels on their '07 Grizzly, but with no one speaking up to confirm it I ordered the 14" ITP C-Series type 7 sport lock wheels. I figure the quad is my wife's, so the 14" wheels should improve cornering and sidehill feel with the oversized tires. I told my wife to order whichever 27" tire she wanted, and she ordered the ITP XTRs.
If you want 12" wheels for an '07 Grizzly be sure you confirm they fit before ordering.

It sure surprised me, thats for sure. The Maxxis wheels just barely rub though, so I'm betting some of the 12" aftermarket wheels fit, and some won't. You may also be able to grind down the tall spot on the brake caliper a few millimeters and be ok. I would have thought Yamaha would have designed a bit more clearance for this critical part though.

ITP C-Series Type 7 (the 12" model) fit fine on my 700 Grizzly. I swapped them off of my Brute Force to try them out and found that I had about 1/4" clearance at the spots that were close. So now my Grizzly is sporting 26x12x12 (rear) and 26x10x12 (front) Dirt Devils on Type 7 wheels. The Brute is back to 26" Gators on stock Brute wheels...
