Default Chain Adjustment 400EX 2007

Can anyone tell me whether you adjust the chain on the 2007 400EX while it is on the ground or do you have to jack it up so there is no load on the back wheels?

Yes you do have to jack the bike up off the ground a bit.

Thanks for the quick response. Does the suspension have to be at its limits?
The manula indicates 30 to 40mm slack in the chain. I am unsure whether the swing arm is meant to me at its full extension or can have a load on it.
