LT160 Front luggage rack necessary ?
#1
I have a 2001 LT160. The previous owner ran it into something bending the front luggage rack forward.
So now it sets at and angle inward on one side when looking from the top down. The luggage rack itself does not appear bent - it is moved in as a whole on one side.
I'm going to try and pull it out straight, but don't know how successful that will be.
I have 2 questions.
1. Does anyone have any suggestions on how or with what to pull it out?
2. Is the front luggage rack an important part of the frame or needed for structural strength or can I simply remove it and leave it off?
Thanks.

You can take it off - it's a bolt-on item and not part of the frame. For a year or two, Suzuki sold the LT160 without the racks so they could tout it as a sport quad.
As far as bending it back - Large wrench, long pipe whatever you can fit near the bent area to pry it out.
