Make Dingo (150) water worthy?
#1
Can this quad be made capable of forging a little water/mud? I know the electrical connections need to be sealed. Will the transmittion suck up water and cause a problem? Is there a danger of cracking the motor (Head or cylinder)? Any other issues?

For what it's worth my dingo 250 has been in some snow, mud, and splashed through some water. I've gotten mud all over that thing and then brought it back and pressure washed every inch of it and it's been fine. You can drive it though alot for the most part as long as the front wheels don't stop moving.

Thanks for the reply. We finally got a long hard rain a few days ago. What a blast! I took my Dingo 150 and my daughter her Falcon Deluxe. We were covered head to toe with mud. We also ran through a few not so dry creek beds which were running about 6-8" of water. We later cleaned them up with the garden hose. I haven't seen such a big grin on her face since we first got her the Falcon. What a blast

Yeah, its a blast. You'll wanna make sure you didn't get any crud in your airbox or filter now. You said you got into about 6"-8" of water, that's cool but I don't know if you should get in any more than that especially if you're wheeling through something without a solid bottom. It's not too fun to get those thing stuck and have to pull them out.

Agreed. I don't think I'd want to take it into any deeper water. But pulling it out of mud is not an issue. My tractor will pluck any atv out of any amount of mud without even straining
