I have an 06 500ho non EBS, the belt has a lot of play in it, checked with dealer and its the right belt, and all measurements are right. My buddy has an 04 500ho w/EBS and his belt does not have much play at all, is there a diff. between non EBS and EBS, or is there a problem because mine seems too have too much play. To me this seems like the clutches would open all the way and hinder the performance and top speed. And I can also pull the belt off easy with one hand.

 

his (w/ebs) is surpossed to be alot tighter then yours. its how it works on the one way center bushing (the ebs) that it needs to drag on to slow it down. theres a big differnce in the 2 bikes on how fast they come to a stop. my wifes 450 doesnt have ebs and my 800 does. night and day.
