I've been thinking of purchasing this kit and am looking for anyone with experience with it. Some of the info I am looking for is ease of installation, rejetting, and your thoughts on the Supertrapp pipe that comes with it. On the review I read on this site, (performand on a Honda 400) they said that they had some problems with the slide in the carb sticking, is there the same problems on the 450's?? Any and all info would be greatly appreciated.

Well the best thing you can do is e-mail one of the guys at highlifter. greg@highlifter.com should be able to tell you about it. jeff@highlifter.com Jeff is the 300 honda expert and he told me about rejetting my carb and stuff for when I buy the kit. Ask him he is very friendly and honest.

We put a highlifter High performance kit on one of out 450S and had great results with it. It was easy to install, increased performance across the board and kept a reasonable exhaust note. I would highly recomend it.

The machine in the review was my "96" foreman 400. While it was a little tricky to get the needle in the carb to line up it really wasn't that much of a problem. The improvement in power was immediately noticeable (able to get the front end off the ground in 3rd gear). The supertrap pipe (sounds GRrrrrreat) and air box mod were a breeze to install. The whole kit took about 3 hours to install (including taking pictures for the review). While the kit didn't do much for the top end, I can sure get there quicker. The improvement in low and mid range power is awesome. I do alot of snow plowing and playing in the mud, and the before and after difference is definately noticable.

Roby

Do you have this high performance kit on your scrambler? If you do or dont then please give reasons for why? I am interested in this kit for a scrambler 2000 (when I get It) and wanted to hear some results from this specific kit on the quad. The deal sounds great, Just wondering how things would turn out.....

YOur time is greatly appreciated

Hey Dogg, Negative on the kit for the Scrambler. While Highlifter has an excellent power kit, I'm more inclined to go with a company that specializes in Polaris performance. After talking with some local Polaris dealers and Polaris owners here in MN. HPD seems to be the the hot ticket for aftermarket performance parts.
