Anyone ever used Seafoam on a Suzuki LT-A50?
#1
I picked up a used 2002 Suzuki LT-A50 for my son. It runs just fine, and has plenty of power to pull my new little rider up hills and along the trails even with the intake restrictor still in place (I checked). I'm going through it anyway just to make sure it's in top shape.
The two previous owner Dads (they're friends) did zero maintenance on it. I've already changed the oil (which looked awful) and tightened a few loose bolts here and there. This includes the banjo bolt that connects the oil tank to the engine - it was a little loose and leaking just a bit. Things are nice, tight, and dry now.
Things are generally running fine, so I'm not anxious to completely tear down the carb. However, I'm guessing it could stand a light cleaning after ~4 years of no maintenance, which is why I'm considering Seafoam. Since the carb's air intake is on its side I can't use the regular (liquid) product so I'll have to use the "Deep Creep" (aerosol) version.
Has anyone done this on that little 49cc engine? What were your results? Thanks!

I use Sea Foam on everything, including chainsaws and weed whippers. WOrks great, just don't over do it or there won't be enough "real gas" to allow it to run smoothly.
