Griz 660 2002 - AntiFreeze/Coolant Change???
#1
I'd like to change the coolant in my ATV and was wondering if it's easy? Is there anything I need to know, that's different or look out for? Can I use coolant in the ATV that I use for cars? I'd like something that's really good, because I use my ATV for pulling an ATV Food Plot disc, and it gets very hot. Sometimes the overheat light goes on.
In addition, I'd like like to install a second fan under the ATV to blow extra air over the engine to cool it, has anyone done this? Is it possible? What other alternative do I have? I've installed the factory kit to allow for more air flow, but doesn't seem to make a difference. If you installed an extra fan, where did you get the fan?
In advance, Thanks for the information/Guidance.

As for your questions
Yes you can use car antifreeze
If you want to drop your engine temp about 50 degreese put this stuff called "engine ice" in it
To drain it find your water pump and take that off. You might need to change your oil too (thats how the banshee is)
As for the second fan, i wouldnt worry about it, just get the engine ice. Might be an eletrical nightmare.

sparky - Do you think I caused problems to the engine by running it to hot, or until the oil light came on? I didn't drive it for long while the light was on, but for about 5 - 10 minutes. Actually, a friend of mine, she ran it with the light on, and I told her to watch it, and she didn't.
