Default ds 650 lighting question

I have an 03 ds650. I saw a ds on ebay that had an 04 headlamp conversion done on it. My question is... will the 04 or newer headlamp fit on an 03 and if so, what modifications must be made to the wiring harness or the mounting points to get it to work. Also, is the new style headlamp brighter than the 03 style. I know the new style has a two bulb set up and a clear lens, but is it brighter?

You just need to make a jumper with some flat blade connections. After that its cools.

Default ds 650 lighting question

It is brighter, it is lighter, it is very easy to do the mod. I've done it three times and the most time consuming part is trimming the fascia with a box cutter using the new trim piece as a guide. Get the kit from the dealer of your choice and off to the races you go.
