Default SEEKING help from ds GURU in UTAH

I am in dire need of help from someone who knows what they are doing. I live in the ogden area. I have a 2000 ds650 that I got on a trade deal and it has given me nothing but problems. I am not necessarily looking to make it a drag bike or anything... I just want to be able to go outside and have it actually fire up. I bought a new battery and it still wont start. Or if it finally does, ill rev it for a minute and it will die and not start again. So if anyone would be willing to help out, please let me know. I keep hearing how great the DS is but I am just not impressed... YET! Thanks ya'll

Well I am by no means a expert but I have worked on mine quite a bit with the help of 650Viper and Majorecho. I have picked up some good info from them along the way as well. If you are interesetd I would take a look at it for you if you wanted to bring it over sometime or I could come over to your place whatever works for you. Just let me know.

Ive tried that. I actually took it to the local shop to check it out just to make sure and they said it looked fine. Ive had people tell me the valves are probably too tight??
