over 1400 mi so far only problem 1 time was speedo with a small amount of sweat on the inside. my son purchased a new rincon last yr. according to that websit he might be able to get the money back, or a replacement. can you believe 200,000 in 04-05. now thats scary.

 

it dosent make any diff, if you purchased1 in 04 -05, they are talking money back or replacement. 200,000 units covers alot of people. i purchased a new boat in 2k cost 56k and had so many problems i had to sue using the magnuson moss act.

 

I am saying that the recall is 1 1/2 years old. It was issued in April 2005. There is no money back, or replacement (other than the defective part). If you are talking about a different recall or you have different information about this recall, put up a link!

 

Hmmmm, they had a report of 2 dozen failures in all of North America and instituted a recall on all suspect units rather than have cheap unreliable crap out there. Wouldn't it be nice if the other ATV manufacturers would do this?

Only effects a few 04/05 ute models (not any 450Rs or other sport quads). 200,000 units is nothing but a small drop in the bucket for Honda.........

 

Bombrider04, how do you like your 450 r compared to the ds. I am thinking of getting a 450r , my DS is also a 01 and the prices on the 06 450's are pretty good, any info will be helpful.
