200,000 recalls for honda
#11
KaiserSosei I love the new 450r just make sure you get electric start and get either an 06/07 as they have changed alot from the 04/05 models...There is a huge difference between the bikes but I love the ds and the 450r as they are 2 different animals...The ds has alot more torque then the 450r but the 450r is alot lighter and can be thrown around easier then the ds...the ds has an awesome suspension as you know and the 450r has a smaller wheelbase so you can fit through trails easier and is really quick off the line and can pull wheelies just about everywhere...The suspension is adjustable which is cool and the design of the whole quad is awesome along with the ergonomics of the quad itself I didn't feel confortable sitting on a yfz like I do on my ds and the closest bike was the 450r...Mine is still stock but once I start to pay more money off on the bike its getting a lot of mods done to it...The engine is a race engine so make sure if you do get it check the tranny fluid on the right side there is a check bolt hole...There is also a window to check the oil level but for the tranny and the oil you must let the quad sit for a few minutes and warm up then shut it off and check to make sure the oil is at the h and in the manual you will see the check hole for the tranny fluid and make sure you see oil come out and keep applying slowly until you do...Check the valves often also I was told every 10-15 tanks of gas you will love the bike and is a good choice but is alot different compared to the ds I would keep the ds if possible and get the r also. good luck let me know how it turns out.
