has anybody put on a penland hmf pipe on there 800 xt outlander , what differance does it make is it a lot louder , more power ,or sound good, thanks

 

I don't have one on my quads but my friend has one on his cannondale and that thing is loud sounds awesome compared to stock...there are great power gains also and hmf makes great pipes for all of the quads so yes it will be loud compared to stock and you won't be dissapointed.

 

i was going to put one on mine, i called them and was told it would be a month wait. you will need to but the dobeck fyi unit also.

 

My hmf with quiet core isn't that loud. Didn't notice a difference when I added the dobec box.

 

the claim to the gain in hp is only if you add the fyi box.

 

Maybe I didn't get it set right. It didn't make a difference on the high end adjustment if it was full open or closed. Wonder if it is working corectly.

 

no, that dosent sound right. if you hook the wire up backward it dosent work, but your quad will still run as normal. check your instructions again.

 

It should be hooked up right ,the other settings will change things.

 

Give them a call and ask for a setting.
