Open up that air box with like 10-12 air vents and plop in a k&n air filter setup.. that should give some hp. Then you can go with hotcam or w.e they say is a good cam. You dont have the stock tires do you? If you do get them off and replace them with razor 2's or whatever you can find that is good.

If you want real power out of that rappy..Your going to have to spend some money...
1. CP lightend 12.1 piston..( IMO But can use any pistion you want)
2. New rod (for safty)
3. Cam (anything but stock)
4. Mild port job ( i would use craycraft or kenz)
5. Carbs (I would go with FCRs)
All the above..Or just a few things..Will help alot...You can get a 686 kit with 12.1 cheep just look on ebay..Or if you want it built right..send it to bob craycraft or kenz cycle..and send them about $2000.00 and you will have a STRONG MOTOR..

I was thinking about doing the 686 stroker kit and a stage 3 cam. but I am not sure about what I will gain as far as hp and tourque vs the money it will cost. What are some thoughts on it?

Hi, I have a 03 raptor. It has a trinity 727 big bore kit. It is a 105mm 11:1 piston, ported head, stage 3 cam, ct racing pipe, jet kit, k&n fiter with vents in the air box. my gearing is one down in front. my bike ******* in third gear with out trying, and it hits 90 in 4th gear. not sure about 5th, over 100.
