Shock oil change
#1
I recently had the rear shock for my quadzilla rebuilt. Now that I have reinstalled the shock the rear-end just bounces. There is definitely no shock action at all. It feels like there is only a spring down there. If I push the back down and let go it will take 5 or 6 seconds for the back to stop bouncing. I think that the shop forgot to put oil back into the shock. There is pressure in the canister. When I push the needle in nitrogen flows out. Is no oil in the canister a possibility? How do I get oil into the shock if this is the case? If not, what else could this be?

hi,
i am new here but i will give you some info that might help, first you should never press in the valve that lets the nitrogen out as there is not as much in it as you think it only takes a second or two to release all the nitrogen.there should have been a re-bound adjustment on the shock(if it is similar to a dirtbike rear shock) you should see a re-bound adjustment screw somewhere on there probably toward the top of the nitrogen valve, adjust that and it should help, but first you should take it back to where you had it serviced and have them go back over it.if all else fails buy you a factory service manual i would suggest that be the first purchase along with any atv or bike anyone buys!! it will save yo a lot of money!! the manuals help me out tons!!! i hope this helps out, good luck!!!
