RECON BRAKE TROUBLE
#1
I just put front brake shoes on a buddies 99 250 Recon and they dont seem to work that great.
First off the kid he got it from had put grease in the hub(getting every where)Then the adjusters and the wheel cylinders were froze up(got all that working)Got the new shoes on and adjusted them until there is a slight drag(any more and the wheels will lock up)Bled the cylinders until I didnt get any air out.(lever still feels soft and spongy has to be pulled over half way to start engaging the brakes and barly locks the wheels)
Is ther eany tricks to getting these to work like bleeding more or are they just not very good )

Where can I get a master cylinder rebuild kit besides Honda. They want $37 for it.Are there any after market kits?

i paid 40 for mine but ive seen you can get it on ebay for 20, and im not sure if theres any aftermarket kits...its also possible that the master cylindar just needs a good ol cleaning because the slightest dirt can cause problems with the pressure
