Default Performance Exhaust for 450 Sptsmn

Okay all -

I see alot of different vendors with
whole systems claiming performance
boost while reducing greatly the noise
layers.

My needs are a definate performance
boost (speed and power) with noise
reduction for hunting season a few
weeks away.

I have a 06' Sportsman, I don't wanna
void any warrentys, should I buy a slip
over or is that a waste? Please recommend
your make/model of the product you
recommend, thanks everybody!

I'd like to hear some opinions on performance parts for the 450, myself. I haven't been able to find many specific parts for the 450.

Sounds like your caught in the STEP-UP bug again.......I mean 450 need more should have got a 500 carb or maybe a 500 E.F.I. then you still need more and want a 700 or 800 sportsman......It's called never being able to settle for what you got!!!! I know I sound like an old fart, but everybody is like this sooner or later with there quad's .....AM I RIGHT!!!!!!!.....caper..............

Okay Cap and Stendori,

I figure this thread would attract you
guys as 450 Polaris brothers of the
code. My deal is really with lowering
the sound diff on my exhaust for hunting
in a few weeks. But it is quite attractive to
get the performance boost too.

I don't know what to buy, and what product.
I see them all in the mags, and some on web
sites, I need feedback here, are these slip-on
worth a hoot? Should I get the complete system?

Any and all suggestions appreciated!

Thanks ya'll

Still need advise here, is the DYNO products good?
White Bros (I think) ?

Polaris brands?

Kolpin (Stealth exhaust system)?

Much appreciate, thanks!

(Well I want to keep this thread alive, I need help!)

Exhaust Pipe thats more Quiet (For deer hunting) than stock
and would offer my quad more power. I would
think my Sprtsman 500 friends could help, since
the 450/500/700 are basically very similar.

Please advise!

Thanks,

R'

All the add on exhaust will make them louder, the white bros works well on my 700 but it is louder. Those stealth mufflers will quiet them down but that's adding an additional muffler and has to rob power, they say they dont but they have to.

Kerb-

Interesting, cause all the mags, and on-line
descriptions I read say opposite. But it would
go to reason, that if you muffle the sound
then you have to pushing back the exhaust
thus reducing power.

Hmmm, maybe these new designs allow the
exiting air flow to flow up or around and out
or something. I don't know what I am talking
about.

Anyone else, is there any validity to these
performance exhaust mods?

Much appreciated!
