Default First time Raptor owner...

...with a silly question. Just picked up an 05 that needs some brake work on the rear. The caliper mount plate has been rubbing on the disk as well as the pad backing plates. The disk is fairly scored but the strange thing is that the disk is dished shape rather than totally flat. Is this normal?? When I turn the axle it appears to be consistant, not just in one spot like warped or bent. Can anybody help me on this one please.

Its not supposed to be like that, i would get a new disc and replace the pads. Also make sure the axle isnt bent and make sure the caliper isnt bent or mounted wrong.

That happens if it has been used with no pad left. The rotors on these aren't very thick, and actually bend kind of easily. I would replace the rotor as well, yours is shot.

Just replace the rear rotor on mine yesterday. Ordered from the dealer for $45.
