Default Clutch Kits?

I want to get a clutch kit that makes my wheeler(02 650 Prarie) have alot more low end torque. I'm not interested in top end speed. I use my wheeler for boulder climbing, mudding, and some heavy duty trail riding half the time. I also use it for around my house, I haul, plow, rip out shrubs, go into my woods and drag downed/dead trees, etc, etc. I want a cluch kit that has real low end power, and makes my clutch a little more heavy duty. I spin stock tires sometimes, and I also spin 27 inch mudders(I mainly use for mudding, and plowing). I called EPI and they do make a utility clutch kit but only for Mules and Brutes. I want real low end torque, rock crawling on the side of a moutain tourque, and non belt slipping plowing, any suggestions. I also heard EPI clutch kits are the best money can buy, is this true?

Dalton Industries is what I prefer on your model . The kits sell for about $69. There are 3 different possible primary springs to choose from to fine tune the clutch to your needs .

Where can you buy from. The kits I saw on epi were @ 200.00.
Does this kit come with weights and a helix? What spring configuration do you suggest for what I described above, remember I want raw tourque, I really dont care about top end. Stupid question, what does a helix do? And if I upgrade to dalton will it make my clutch more durible? Thanks

Default Clutch Kits?

I sent you another PM. I'm no expert but the way I understand it is the first # is basically the amount of clutch stall the spring will have. The higher the # the more your motor will rev before your clutch enguages Like a high stall on a drag car. The second number is basically the shiftout, how fast your clutch shifts into the higher ratios. The higher the # the faster the shiftout. Be careful on this one with a stock motor because unless you have the extra hp to pull you can bog your motor like you would putting a car into 5th at only say 35-40. If you have a modded bike and can pull the extra shiftout then your bike will be that much quicker but if not then you'll kill the performance. If your wanting more low end torque I would recommend a spring with a high enguagement rmp, so your in the motors good power range when the clutch enguages, and a lower shift out # so you stay in the higher rpms longer. With this you will lose topend but should gain some rear wheel torque. As I said I'm no expert and all this is right I think but if I were you I'd go talk to the guys I mentioned in my PM.
