Default Mud Lite Radials

I just bought a set of Mud Lite Radials mounted on 14 inch ITP wheels. They only had 30 miles on them. Last night I put them on my 650 Brute Force. When I test drove it on hard surfaces the whole atv shook at 40 mph and above. Is this normal?

Were they just flat spotted? How long did you ride, and did they still shake after a few miles?

They look brand new. I only rode about 1 mile down the road.

The only time my 500 foreman will shake with the mud lites on is when I idle along in first gear on a hard surface. Going at any travelling speed(5km/h and up) I don't notice anything

If they were stored for any long amount of time standing up, that could creat flat spots in the part which was on the ground. four tires with flat spots will make the bike shake a lot. (i think that is what DesertViper was talking about aswell) Run em for a little longer and hopefully it will go away.

BruteForceGirl,
we have the exact same tires on 14" wheels on our Grizzly. If parked overnight the tires will be flat spotted and lumpy feeling when on the pavement for the first couple of miles. Once they are round again there is still a very very subtle out of roundness that can be felt at high speed on pavement. It is so subtle that you really have to focus on it to even notice it is there. So ITP tires are not always the best for being round, and hopefully you didn't get a bad set. We did send a set of ITP Holeshot XCR tires back to the manufacturer for a replacement one time, because they were horribly out of round, and just could not be ridden at high speed without tearing the qaud apart. The newer radial ITPs are much better quality though, so I suspect your Mudlite radials are okay.

Thats with any after market tire, not just itp. I have Swamplites, and after sitting in my garage for a couple days, they are rough riding for a couple miles because of flat spots, but it will go away after a little bit. If you get off the tar, and on to gravel, hardpack, grass, ect... you wont feel a thing

Thanks for the input. I rode all weekend and the tires did great off road and crappy on road. I can settle for that.
