Default Reving ds engine?

How far can you rev your engine on a 2005 ds650 x?I just wanted to know because i will get a ronwoods rev box.And they have no rev limit. So what is the absolute safest rev i should go on a completly stock rev box.I think the stock rev limit is 7900.I whant to make sure.Dont want to blow any engines. And will the ron woods cdi run the battery dead quicker.Or with a stock engine should i take a chance with a big gun cdi?Any info would be helpful. Thanks

Stock I don't think your safe much above 8500 rpms. I would be very careful running without a rev limiter. Normal riding your fine, but miss a gear..............

I was going to get a Vortex, but when the wife's van died so did my Vortex account, I ended up getting a Top Gun, and have not had any trouble. I have the idle set to 1450-1500 RPM and could not be happier. Well if I had a Vortex I would be happier....
