Default Yamaha grizzly 125

Considering purchasing the yamaha Grizzly 125. Anyone have one and can share their personal experience with it. Can a 8 year old experienced rider handle it. He is 4' tall about 70 pounds. Or would I be better off purchasing the polaris 90, 07 4 stroke. I am skepical concerning the polaris. I heard that it is not water/mud tolerant.

I would probably get him the grizzly 125 because he won't outgrow it as fast and would be a good size for somebody 4' tall. The power is probably similar to my 150, and a lot lighter since
it is smaller.

I have one for my son he's 9 and about the same height and weight as your son is. He handles the quad just fine. I'm very impressed by the way he can handle the machine. When we purchased the quad i actually planned on buying the 80cc but the 125 was sitting beside it. The 125 seemed like the safer of the 2. Its only about 50lbs heavier but its much more stable than the 80 being wider and having a better suspension and head and tail lights. My only beefs with it is it eats the brakes very quickly and has no pull start. Other than that she's been a great machine. Decent size for a small adult as well. I definitely think its the better choice over any 90cc. Best of luck to ya.
