i just recently traded in my '06 raptor 700 for the '07 yfz450 bill balance edition, yamaha blue. my problem is that it starts rough. i choke it and it starts then idles, and then after 10 seconds it quits. if i just push the start button and rev it a little and let it warm up its fine. its brand new so i doubt theres anything wrong, maybe its just me and i was too used to the raptor 700 with it being fuel injected. thanx

you are turning the choke off after it starts right? if thats not it you just need to wait for it to warm up... when i had my 350 rap it never cut out on me but my 01 r6 will if i dont leave the choke on for atleast 30-40 sec's

yeah i turn the choke off. after its warmed up and i take it for a ride and then shut it off, it starts right back up. soo it might just need time to warm up thats all.

Idle speed is supposed to be 1800rpms. You may want to put a tach on it and make sure the idle speed is correct.
