Default Max 400 won't start in gear ??

Hello everyone,

I have an 05 Outlander Max 400.

It's getting very difficult to start in gear. I now have to stand up and put all my weight on the brake pedal in order to start. The brake light does not light up either. This just kind of happened out of the blue. Worked fine one day, then became hard the next.

I don't know if this is related or not, but I recently took the machine back to the dealer to have the speedometer lens replaced. It was fogging up. They had to take the whole speedometer assembly out in order to do this. Is it possible some of the wiring in the speedometer assembly might have something to do with it not wanting to start in gear?

Thanks all,

Steve

Pull the brake on. Then it will start in gear.

It never has worked by pulling the hand brake. Only the foot brake.

Thanks anyway.
