Well I've got several choices and I am looking for anyones opinion on them.
I do lots of riding in riverbottoms and creeks. So I encounter lots of mud and steep slippery hills.

Sur-Tracks they seem like a popular tire. I have heard lots of good things about them. They look like a Spider Trax copy from the pictures that I have seen. They have a very attractive price, but they are only 2 ply so I have doubts about their strength.

Realitor they look like a very good tire. I havn't heard much about them though.

Blackwaters They used to be a very popular mud tire for the larger machines. They are 4 ply tire so they should be strong but they are rather expensive.

Spider Traxs Used to be popular but with poor lifespans. They were redone by ITP with better materials. Look like Sur-Tracks but with 4 ply and bigger price.

Strykers Decent price unusual design 3 ply tire. I have heard next to nothing about them. Can buy them at Wal-Mart so they are easy to get.

Mud Sharks Look like Blackwaters with nifty tread design and cool name. But would have to go down to a 21 inch tire.

Any additional choices would be welcome if they perform better then the above mentioned tires.
I assume (perhapse incorrectly) they the above choices come in sizes that are compatible with a rim that a 22x10x9 tire fit. I know the last number must remain the same and I assume that an 11 or 12.5 width would work inplace of the 10 width the current tire has.
All experienced opinions on the pros and cons of each tire are welcome.

The only tire on your list I can comment on is the Sur Traks. We have them on our Recon. They fit the factory rims.

Good:
Excellent traction on all surfaces
lite weight, 2 ply (no flats, yet)
reversable so you can use the tire in snow

Bad:
The tire is about 1/4 of an inch shorter than advertised

If you change out the rims then your choices are unlimited.

Would reversing them(the sur tracks) also help in sand you think?

I have 22x12-9 Bearclaws on my Recon and they are very good tires. I was going to get Surtracks but they were only 2ply so i got the 4ply Bearclaws. I would probably get them again.

Sur Traks should help in the sand. On the tire it has two directional arrows. One direction for mud & the other for snow. I assume for sand you would use the tire in the snow direction.

We have snow in the mountains, hoping to take out the Recon & play in snow this weekend.
