Default Stock Predator 90 and sand tires

Getting ready to take the family to Little Sahara sand dunes in Oklahoma. I am wanting to get some sand tires for the 9-year olds stock predator. I had it narrowed down to the Skat-Trak Glider 18x9.5x8 6 paddle tire but am also looking at the ITP Sand Star 18x9.5x8 8 paddle dual scoop V-style tire.

My questions are-
If I go with the Gliders, which is a straight paddle design, will it make it difficult to turn for him? I have never had straight paddles on any of my bikes only the V-style.
If I go with the Sand Stars will the stock 90 have the power to turn an 8 paddle setup?

Thanks for any input.

What irritates me is!
Those 6-packs work pretty good.

The sand stars have a pretty tall "V" and will beat the crap out of a rider in anything but soft sand. I'd go with the straights.
