i read where it was to violent and hard for randal to let go and shift the bike could i put and air shifter of some sort and still be able to race or does that throw you into another class?

 

Auto tranny is the way to go. It will be race only.

 

there was a guy running a drag street bike, once he took off all he had to do is push a button mounted by his thumb. never let off the gas never had to clutch it, they were running an air shifter, it could be ran either for drag racing threw the button or clutched for cruising. they said it was an air shifter. would that be allowed to run in the regular class or is that not allowed?

 

Packard runs them on all his bikes (air shifter) works great

 

Was looking at one for the Mini-Rail. . . Pingle makes them. . .

The ideal set-up is for the FI motors as the shifter hooks up to the computer and stops fuel to the engine at the shift points to allow things to go together.

Kinda wonder how all the internals will hold up over time. . .

I think there is a kit out ther for the Raptor 700's already. Looks pretty sweet from what I've seen. Ties into the Dynojet and de-fuels as it up-shifts. No clutching needed. Gotta be a quicker shift than I can do. . . can you immagine through the whoops. . . just nail it and you are gone. Perfect shifting each time. NICE!

I've pretty much decided against it for the rail though. . . I don't drag the rail and I seem to be getting ths shifting of it down pretty good now. Missed a few shifts early on . . . I think i'm getting better at it now. . . [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif[/img]

I just hope I can keep on my bike as all them 8-year olds on those FAST LT-80's go flyin' by me on the way up the hill. I hate it when they roost me. . .
