I too am looking for a new aftermarket airbox and a k&N too. The stock one is a slight better then thew banshee and warrior airbox it has easily release clips instead of screws. It's just too big and you have to play with it to get it to seat right. I still don't want holes drilled in my airbox because I ride in dusty and muddy terrain. Holes really don't make the difference everybody claims it does but the airfilter itself is the key.

Raptor420,
I've see ALOT of people with K&N filters on their dirt going machines with masive amounts of dirt in their motors. I have used TwinAir filters for years on my machines with outsanding results. They don't make one for the Raptor yet but they tell me it will be out ASAP. I also do mostly dusty and muddy terrain, mountain riding. I would agree that the K&N delivers a little more power but at what expense. I run K&N's on my street bikes and cars, so I'm not bashing them but they just let to much through from what I've seen. I know that their are also lots of people who have had no problems, however, I'm just not willing to take that chance. Again, that's my opinion.
I have six of the 1 1/2in. foam plugs in my lid. As of yet I have not had a problem. I'm sure that there will be a better way soon. For now this is working great.

Sparks Racing has an air box/filter combo coming out. The lid isn't shown but the Sparks guy I talked to yesterday says the filter is so good you can run without the lid in most conditions.

I talked to Allen at Ct and he said that the pro-flow filter can be run without a Abox lid if your not into taking your quad swimming. Who here has used the dual filter pro-flow kit can it be run in really dusty, dirty conditions without a lid without a worry? How does it compare to K&N's performance wise?

Use the pro-flow system on the Banshee in the sand dunes without the lid, no problem. You have to go up 2 or 3 jet sizes, makes a big difference on the Banshee. Also had one on my old Warrior, never had a problem in the sand. I have had one on order for over a month for the Raptor nothing yet. I have new main and pliot jets to try on the Raptor just waiting for the filter. Its a great filter system and worth the wait.

Other than drowning your quad ,is desert riding the worst for your quad(filtration wise).

DreamDuner,
Who did you go through for your Pro-Flow system,
( Raptor)? # or web page would be appreciated.
