I just wanted to se if the was any high mileage outlander 400`s out there be realistic my buddy says they would fall apart at 1,500 miles of normal riding he doesnt liek the company so let me know what year you got and current mileage ? he has a kodiak 400 5,000 miles on it and abused so hes stuck on the yamaha.

 

I bought my 2006 400 Max XT on Sept18/05, now it has 2,991 km on it (1,855 miles) And I guarantee its been though anything his kodiak has been through and with two people on board. If you go to Aurora wheelers forum, there is a guy from England with over 20,000 km on his '03 Outlander.

I have nothing against Yamaha or any other brand but saying any machine will fall apart at only 1,500 miles is just being ignorant!

 

i have close to 1500 miles on my 04 outlander without a single problem and some of it is tough riding(rock crawling, towing trailers, etc.) Still original belt and everything.

 

ive got almost 1300 miles on my 06 650 and its been in sandy muddy lakewater, stagnant pond muck, gravel bar and creek hoppin, gets run wide open down the highway, drag raced, rock crawled and pull off a road and taken down through the brush makin trails. oh ya ive only had it 6mo. but ive had no problems out of it.
