Default 03 raptor 80 help please!!!

I bought this quad from my boss for cheap. It ran fine when he last ran it a year ago. I drained the fuel, changed the spark plug and battery. When i crank it over it just turns over and no fire. I pulled the plug and it has plenty of spark. I took the carb apart and cleaned it and everything is fine there. I sprayed a little ether in the plug hole and tried and no fire. I'm at a loss here and really hate to take it to a dealer. Is there something i'm missing? Any help is appreciated.

Okay i think now that i may have a weak spark. Should i replace the coil and stator? Anything else that could be causing the weak spark? Maybe the battery i bought isn't putting out the correct amps? No gurus here? Thanks

make sure the carb is really cleane. blow all holes and passages out with a rubber tiped nozel. i cleaned my wifes 350 3 times before i got it all cleane. runs great. also get a new spark plug.

after that if it still doesnt run, check the valve clearance. herd that from someone that hade a similar problem.

Thanks for the response. I have cleaned the carbs twice and will do it again. I bought 2 new plugs and tried each one. I get no fire at all and the plug has spark so maybe it is the valve clearance.

Just a stupid idea but you did check the kill switch and I mean the one on the handlebar. I have seen it many times that someone is chasing this foolish no start issue and it turns out the kill switch on the handlebars is switched to the X no start position. It will crank just no spark. Have done it myself.

Well i got it fixed on saturday and my daughter has been riding non stop. I did check that the kill switch was working. Turns out the intake valve had no slack for valve lash. I adjusted the valves, cleaned the carbs twice, changed the spark plug and oil, and put fresh gas in it and it runs like new. thanks for the help.
