Default installation of atv tires

Are atv tires mounting fairly a DIY thing or do I really need some pro to do it?
Thanks.

You can do them yourself. I have never taken a set anywhere to have them mounted. Made a couple tire spoons and a beadbreaker and thats all you need. Sometimes you will get a bead that is a little hard to set but with some effort you will get it to set.

You can get a nice little tire changer from Harbor Freight for around $40 that makes it easy and pays for itself in no time.

the harbor freight one is what i have. It should be mounted to the floor or a skid. Im going the skid route so i can move it around the shop.

Hey Zark---a word to the wise--gotten from experience---if you have the stock Dunflop tires on your rims---let someone else mount your new treads--i watched an experienced tire guy screw with my tires for an hour and a half----seems the Dunflops on the Kaws are really a tight fit and should not be tried by an inexperieced person---you will cause your self a lot of grief--IMO

If you try to change soft tires with the Harbor Frieght changer (or similar changers). Put some air in them. It'll make it about 10 times easier to get the first bead broke. Also, after you get one bead broke it will be nessescary to get a 2x4 and stick inside of the tire, to keep the bead breaker on the bead. Hope that will help some folks.
