I bought a brand new primary and secondary clutch for my 83 YTM 200 6-speed. When in neutral and putting it in first gear there's something wrong. When putting it in first gear you have to be ready to go. There's no applying brake and putting it in first or it will die, instead when putting it in first gear its like popping the clutch and you have to be ready go! What's wrong?

 

Hi i had the same problem. All my friends thath tried my 1982 200e said the same thing the cluch slips in the fist gear e.c.t. SO one day i discoverd a little ajustement i could do. on the side of the atv you will see a little ajustable switch of some sort thath says leftf to right...play with thath for a while and thath may just be your problem?!!?
