I bought a brand new primary and secondary clutch for my 83 YTM 200 6-speed. When in neutral and putting it in first gear you have to be ready to go. There's no applying brake and putting it in first or it will die, instead when putting it in first gear its like popping the clutch and you have to be ready go! What's wrong?

 

back off the clutch adjuster on the case, either clymer or a Yamaha manual will show you how to do that, and, by the sounds of it turn your idle screw out a bit and throttle it down. and I assume you mean 5 speed + neutral cause it don't have 6 forward gears
