MAX800 2ND SEAT SAVES RIDER FROM POSSIBLE INJURY.
#1
Allright i'm going to tell on myself. This was a big haa haa, back in the parking lot. Last weekend while riding with fellow riders at winchester, we were riding trails and climbing hills. We started out at banshee hill and later on we approached this i believe to be the tallest and steepest hill there from the south side.My friend on his xt 800 went up first, then i made my run, on my 800 max,i was wot most of the way up, all of a sudden i could see that i had missed judged the top, which was cut, and with very little space at the top. I let off the throttle and got a glimpse of my friend to the left of me and the drop off just ahead. My instinct was to hook it to the left which caused me to shift my 235lbs to the r/side and open up the throttle again, causing the max to roll over the top of my body and then continue on down the hill while still running, after i waited a min to see if i was hurt or not i got to my feet walked down got on the max and we rode off. The other rider at the bottom of the hill said i was airborne and when i landed i let a roost of sand 40 long. i was riding single with the second seat on which is no doubt saved me from injury acting somewhat like a roll bar.The only problem was removing sand from diff body parts for a couple of days.I will climb that hill again but next time let off sooner, 1 of those was enough,if you know what i mean.

Glad you are ok. Is that hill the one they call Superman hill. Were Crash crashed? Sounds like it. Always gotta be careful at the dunes even if you know them they are always changing. We had a great time there during Dunefest. Can't wait to go again.
