I am looking to purchase a new ATV. I have heard good things about the 400EX, and like the fact that it is a four-stroke and is air-cooled because of maintenance purposes. I live near some hills and was wondering if the 400EX has good up-hill exceleration. Also, I am considering the Raptor and Polaris because of my frame (6'4" @205). Can someone share some info.

Well I am 6`2`` and the 400 fits fine. The ds is a bit bigger but the raptor is actually about the same. As far as up hill acceleration if you do decide to go with the 400 I would recomend getting a 14 tooth sprocket. It is a cheep upgrade and will improve your hill abilities greatly. Over all I would recomend the 400 because of its over all urganomics.

The EX will climb hills as fast as you can handle without looping over backwards. Power is never a problem when hillclimbing, but keeping the front end down can be.
