Bear Tracker transmission won't shift

Bear Tracker transmission won't shift
I have an '03 Yamaha Bear Tracker. This has happened once before but started working again. I was using my Bear Tracker today and it was working fine. Then all of a sudden it won't shift up to first out of neutral. The shifter won't budge. It moves down just fine, but not up. Any thoughts before I tear it apart?
