i lost spark on my 2000 grizzly. ohmed the pickup coil was in open loop.installed new pickup coil,but still has no spark. anyone had this problem? this has happened twice, once under warranty,they put in a pickup coil i think,possibley the hole stater. can anyone help!!!!!!!!

 

Hwo much is the battery putting out and are your wires a the killswitch or key messed up at all or the controls might have gone bad...Also I would check the ground wire if you can find it and check to see if you are getting any response from the cdi and rectifier

 

how do you ck the cdi unit. i unpluggedthe run switch and it was the same. what ground are you talking about? the battery seems ok

 

I know on my ds there is a ground wire that goes to the frame and if that is diconnected in any way it wont start...I don't have a grizz so i can't give you the exacts...when you are pressing the button and looking at the sparkplug are you making sure that you have the plug grounded like on the engine or else it won't spark

 

yes i know that much i'm a car tech i work on toyota's.i don't know how to ck the stater or the cdi & rectifier.
