2 100watt lights???

not a chance, 2 55's in place of the stock lights is borderline with the stock stator. Those should be plenty bright for you. One of my 50 watt torch lights is burned out, and it's still way brighter than the stock lights were. If 2 50/55's aren't enough, then you should look into HIDs instead.

i was running one hella 500, it uses 50 watts and it ran fine but now i have 2 hella 500s and i saw alot of difference in the brightness of the lights, their intensity dropped alot. i'll need to buy a ricky stator to get an extra 50 watts

You can't go much brighter than stock with the stock headlight assemblies. They're plastic, and a higher wattage bulb will melt them. Your best bet is to sell your stock headlight and bracket on ebay, and get a set of the generic atv torch lights like I have. Those were about $35 shipped, and I just made a simple bracket and mounted them on my top bumper mounts. If your stock lights and bracket are in decent shape, you should be able to sell them for more than enough to pay for the new ones, and it'll look better too.
There's a few pics here where you can see my lights

I have the same rickystator bulbs in my stock headlights. They're hardly brighter than the stock ones, that's why they don't melt the plastic. Not worth the money at all. There's no comparison between those and the 50 watt torch lights I have now. One of these torch lights is noticably brighter than both of the stock lights with the rickystator bulbs.

What's the deal with these weak light's on the newer model's ?.........My brother bought an 02 rancher in the fall of 01 , and i bought an 06' ac 400 feb. 7th of this year ; on my first ride i rode up till it got dark before i got back to the truck. The difference between my old 86' foreman single head light mounted between the handle bar's and the dual's on my 93' suzuki 300 KQ was like wearing sunglasses ! I got a safty Manual on CD with the AC , when it comes to the part about riding after dark ; they say no riding after dark !!!!! I bought a set of driving light's , i think they're 35 watt bulb's , i rigged a light plug to the end of the wire's on one bulb ; the one bulb was brighter than both stock headlight's ! I guess it must be a saftey issue for the manufacturer's , to deter people from night riding ! The thing is i prefer riding after dark because you can see oncoming rider's better at night and much cooler in summer after dark !!! I think i'll just stop using the stock light and mount the 2 driving light's to my front rack ! .............williebee
